MUSIC ALBUM 2025 - INTROSPECTION, IMPROVISATIONS FOR PIANO BY ISABEL GONDEL

Flashes of past conversations. Flashes of environments, cities, and lost spaces. Flashes of faces, both unknown and known, in memory. Flashes of static images, etched in reminiscence. Flashes of dreamlike dreams, where you wake up and find answers. Flashes of lullabies, always full of hope. Flashes of rainshowers in the city, soaked. Flashes of the movements of flamenco hands, dancing in the air. Flashes of the scent of orange blossom, spring, and hot sun in Andalusia. Flashes of a house you leave, leaving echoes of abandonment. Flashes of pure smiles, born from an eternal instant. Flashes of echoes of silence, where words do not exist. Flashes of other people’s cries and screams, faded away. Flashes of shared tenderness, like a home´s embrace. Flashes of train stations, with faces you’ll never see again. Flashes of celebrations, fleeting moments of joy. Flashes of nature, where you can be at peace. Flashes of silence, where everything stops. Flashes: of the gentle pressure of touch. (...) © All rights reserved.

Description

This album is a deeply personal project, not intended for academic purposes, but rather as a musical testimony. It features improvisations based on original themes I composed to accompany an entire musical journey shaped through improvisation — improvisations that were not initially meant to be published, guided entirely by an intentional embrace of simplicity. The CD includes a booklet with texts written by myself, like the one partially quoted above, available in English, Spanish, Catalan, German, French, and Italian, as well as photographs and ten musical pieces that together form a sound journey through those described flashes. Upon purchasing the full album, I send a physical CD, personally dedicated.

🇵🇸 Out of solidarity with Palestine, and in resistance to the funding of military technology used in the Genocide, my music will not be available on Spotify. I choose to support, in the ways I can, the light that still resists — to care for the human, and to affirm that not everything is acceptable in life.
