Women in Arts & Culture Politics, Independent Magazine
We are launching this initiative with a clear mission: to create a space where the intersections of gender, the arts, culture, and politics are examined with depth, independence, and courage. In a time when cultural policy and artistic practices are reshaping societies worldwide, women’s voices and perspectives remain essential yet too often marginalized. This project seeks to amplify those voices, provide critical reflection, and foster dialogue across disciplines and geographies.
Our editorial focus will include:
Critical essays and opinion pieces on cultural policy and its impact.
Interviews with artists, thinkers, and cultural leaders.
Coverage of international forums, festivals, and gatherings.
Reviews and reflections on artistic practices with political and social resonance.
Launched in 2025 as an independent, women-led initiative, Women in Arts & Culture Politics is committed to building a platform that is inclusive, bold, and forward-looking. We believe that the arts are not separate from politics, but a vital space where cultural futures are imagined, contested, and created. This is only the beginning — a magazine project in motion. We invite readers, collaborators, and fellow cultural practitioners to join us in shaping this space.
Independent. Critical. Women-led. Global.
With love,
Noa Martí and Isabel Gondel
